Gospel Reflections #305: Yes! We can get up again and again.

Proverbs 24:16 "The man who obeys God falls seven times, but rises again."

God is always with us, meeting our needs, encouraging us, healing us, and strengthening us.

It is God who enables us to get up again and again.

God is not telling us to keep on falling down! God is not telling us not to fall down, nor is He telling us to get up by ourselves when we fall down.

God knows our weakness, our inadequacy, and our immaturity.

If we look up to God when we fall, He will not condemn or blame us, but will surround us, heal us, pity us, and strengthen us.

So we can get up again and again.

When we go to God, He lets us rest in His love and makes us aware of what we lack. We can then take that awareness to God and ask for what we lack.

Then God will give us what is best for each of us in a good way and at the right time.

God never breaks or betrays His promises to us. God's love pursues us everywhere.

Through Jesus, we can get up at any time and at any place.
