1 Timothy 1:3,4 "I urge you not to "preach different doctrines, nor to let your minds be carried away by fictions and unbroken genealogies. Such fictions and genealogies cause more plague and senseless prying than the fulfillment of God's plan of salvation through faith."

When we see a sinful world approaching destruction, it is tempting to emphasize judgment and salvation.

But the Second Coming is the joy we have been waiting for.

We focus more on when the judgment will end, when the Second Coming will come, who will be saved, etc., than on that joy. Our knowledge of this does not help us with salvation.

Our focus is always on Jesus.

We want to focus on who Jesus is and what He has done for me personally and not be distracted from sharing it and sharing our joy.

It is tempting for us to study Satan's strategies, but studying them will not lead us to victory over them.

Instead, let us put our energy into learning more about God, who leads us to victory and protects us.

We are like what we see.

What are you looking at?

If we take our eyes off God, He will surely remind us. And when we do, we can turn around.

We can't even do that on our own without God's work!  Let's rely on God more after we know Him more!
