Matthew 24:42 "Jesus said, "Therefore keep your eyes open. For you do not know when your Lord will return."
We humans love to unpack prophecy. We spend so much effort trying to clarify when Jesus will return. We pursue it even though Jesus says it is not for us to know.
We do not do this to argue about when Jesus will return, but to stay awake so that we can be ready when He returns.
We can live a life of being with the Holy Spirit in our lives here on earth. To have the Holy Spirit in our hearts is to live with Jesus.
Those of us who experience this daily will not be concerned about when Jesus will actually come. Rather, we wait with joy and hope for the invisible One who is in our hearts to come for us in a visible way.
If we knew well who our Savior Jesus is, we would always be awake and looking forward to seeing Him.
We have no disappointment, only hope! We will see Jesus soon.

This Gospel Reflections page is written by Masae San, a devoted student of the Bible who passionately embraces the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She shares her daily reflections on the Gospels as a way to reach out to others and spread the message of Jesus. We're sharing her message here so that you too can experience the joy that comes from the Gospel that has filled her heart.
