1 Corinthians 9:16 "But if I preach the gospel, it does not make me proud, for I cannot help doing so. But if I do not preach the gospel, I am unhappy. If I do not preach the gospel, I am unhappy."
What is the gospel?
The gospel is God's hope and God's love.
The gospel is something that those who have received hope and love from God are so filled with joy by it that they want to talk about it.
Paul says that he receives no reward from the gospel. Paul says that he does not take pride in himself when he preaches the gospel.
We expect that because the gospel is good news from God, those who hear it will think, "Good! We sometimes make sharing the gospel with someone a good deed that satisfies our own sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
Paul says that the gospel is not something that we do intentionally, but something that we share with joy that flows from our hearts and cannot be suppressed.
We cannot do this without that experience.
The more we come into contact with God's love through our relationship and fellowship with Him, the more we cannot hide our joy.
Whenever we share our heartfelt joy, the Holy Spirit is at work, and God rejoices with those who tell and those who hear, rejoicing with them in His love.
Evangelism is the joy and hope with which we have received God's love.
Evangelism is a form of joyful living.
