Daniel 7:25 "He speaks against the Most High, and he vexes the saints of the Most High. He will plot to change the times and the laws. And the saints shall be delivered into his hand, / And there shall be a season, and a time, and a time and a half."
This is one of the prophetic words in the vision given to Daniel.
It shows a period of persecution of God's people by those who are hostile to God, plotting to change the times and the laws.
Is there anything in our hearts that is hostile to God?
Is there not a part of me that cannot wait for God's time and sets its own time, or a part of me that sticks to my own way instead of God's way?
In our hearts, there is the "old me" that has been affected by sin and has become the norm, and there is the "new me" that has received new life from God.
We often put God first but are at the mercy of our "old self.
God knows this and shows it to us.
When we look not at the prophetic events, but at the God who is always speaking to us, we experience God's presence with us, comforting and encouraging us even when we are defeated by our "old self.
Prophecy is not a preparation for our avoidance of calamity, but a confirmation that God is with us at all times and will walk with us through our tribulations.
We do not have peace simply by knowing prophecy.
Our peace comes from the experience of being with God.
By looking up to God, turning to Him, and choosing Him, new life in our hearts will grow, for sure!
