Psalm 25:4,5 "Show me your ways, O LORD, and teach me the way to follow you. Guide me in Your truth. Teach me, for thou art the God of my salvation. I hope in You without ceasing."

Such prayers are not simply pleas for God to grant our requests, but prayers that we can make because we trust in God.

How can we pray like this?

It starts with knowing God properly. What God is like for us is found everywhere in the Bible.

We know, touch, and taste God by discovering Him and by our daily experiences.

The more we know who God is, the more we trust Him, and the more we want to talk to Him and entrust Him with everything.

We don't pray for God to do something for us; we pray because we want to talk to Him, because we want to commune with Him, because we want to be more involved.

When you look not at our own inability to pray, but at the God who works in us to make us want to talk to Him, He will cause a longing in your heart for Him.

God is already working in all kinds of ways in us.

We just have to keep our eyes on Him and keep looking to Him!
