Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. I will give you rest."

Our God is a God who gives us rest.

We know this, yet we tend to not come to Him.

Why is this?

We think that when we go to God, we have to go as a respectable person.

We also assume that our burdens with God are our sin burdens and that we need to take care of them ourselves before going to Him.

God does not think that way about us at all.

God is itching to do so much for us. It doesn't matter at all how good we are or how many good things we have done.

We can go to God at any time, but even if we bring our burdens to Him, we will try to bring them back again out of guilt or remorse.

God wants to lighten our burdens. God wants to see us happy.

Just as parents want to please their children, God wants to please us, His children.

When we are tired, we can be healed and rest with God if we come to Him.

Let us not hesitate to come to God, but let us approach Him boldly.

God looks forward to our coming in weakness.

The peace that is given to us in God's presence can only be experienced in His presence.

If we run to God, anyone and everyone can rest, be healed, give our burdens to God, and enter into a deep rest.
