Gospel Reflections #248: My Soul Waits for God

Psalm 62:12 "O Lord, to Thee belongs all lovingkindness. For you reward each man according to his works."

These are the words of one who believes in God's mercy and waits for it.

Psalm 62 says, "My soul waits for God. For my hope comes from God.""God is the rock of my strength and my refuge."Trust in God at all times."And so it goes.

There are times in our lives when people around us do not understand us, when we are sheltered, or when we are humiliated.

At such times, we react in a human way, we become emotional and depressed, but it is at such times that we can be hidden in God's love and given peace to be with God by turning to God's Word, God's promises, and choosing to believe them and God will heal us.

God does not reward us for our actions, but He works in our hearts when we trust Him and choose Him.

God's reward for us is to be with us and to be with us in the painful things we go through.
