Romans 5:8, "But while we were yet sinners, God showed His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Immediately after Adam and Eve sinned, God declared to Satan that He considered Satan to be His enemy, that He would surely save mankind, and that when Jesus died on the cross, Satan's defeat would be decided.
From then on, even in situations where he saved God's people from Egypt and gave them an environment of re-education as God's people, but they were disobedient and did not see God in the slightest, Jesus did not shelter them, punish them, or abandon them. Jesus also did not attack Satan, but abandoned his own ways and accepted Satan's ways and went to the cross. Satan tempted Jesus to get off the cross because if Jesus died on the cross, he would lose, but Jesus chose the cross and gave his life for us to the end for the sake of our lives.
God wanted to save us unilaterally by offering Jesus to us.
He first offered us salvation even though we were not good or worthy or anything like that. He first loved us through Jesus before we came to love Him, and He will love us to the end.
What would you call it if you did not call it God's love?
God loves us even when we are completely unaware of it.
And now we are already in His love. It is through the full experience of that love that we come to know God, and we go on the path of joy, hope, and faith!
