Ecclesiastes 9:10 "Whatever you put your hand to, do diligently."
Jesus did not give up on saving us, sinners, but fulfilled it to the end. Jesus has woken us up, forgiven us, searched for us, and encouraged us many times, even when we disobeyed, strayed, or fell down.
We do not have the patience of Jesus. We also have difficulty reaching the end without missing the target of our initial purpose and goal, as Jesus did.
But once we are touched by Jesus' love, we will desire to live like Him. There are times when those who have received God's love are at a loss as to how to give God's love, but we want to trust that God is with us and enjoy our journey with Him.
I believe that "zeal" is more about "having fun and finding joy" than "working hard.
If we choose to receive God's love, to believe in God, and to follow God, we want to put aside our zeal to do whatever it takes and enjoy the process of God doing all things for us.
What we should do our best to do is to receive and rejoice in who the God we believe in is and what He has done for each of us, not for the sake of some great accomplishment.
What we should keep our eyes on is not the "goal" at the end of our efforts, but the "process" of walking with God.
God is there for what we are passionate about doing, advising us and guiding us without giving up.
So all we have to do is to enthusiastically enjoy and rejoice in each step of our journey with God.
This is the evangelism that God gives us!
