Revelation 13:3 "One of the heads of this beast was wounded, and it was thought that it was dead, but this mortal wound was also healed. So the whole earth was amazed and submitted to this beast."
This passage has long been referred to by Adventists against the Roman church system, but God knew how much sin would affect and destroy the world He had created when Adam and Eve sinned.
Therefore, immediately after Adam and Eve sinned, He declared war against Satan and then sent Jesus into the world to free us from sin.
We are given to wait in this sin-influenced world until Jesus' second coming, but He has triumphed over the world through His death on the cross and resurrection.
In the end times, sin is placed before us at its worst.
We may all be tossed about by miraculous things that happen, as in this passage of Scripture.
It is up to us to choose whether we will be judged and swayed by what we see or stand firm on God's promises.
Our God is a God who never leaves us alone, never forsakes us, never abandons us, and is always with us.
He is not a God who changes according to circumstances.
We can be with God by knowing and accepting Him daily.
We may feel crushed by the suffering and difficulties in front of us, but God is with us and protects our hearts even when we are crushed.
It is important that we know God not with our eyes, not with our ears, but with our hearts.
Faith begins our relationship with God by believing in the invisible God, by believing in His promises!
From that relationship comes hope for us. No matter how small that hope may be, it never turns into despair. We can live because of the small hope God gives us each day. Now we need patience and faith, we need hope and joy!
