Isaiah 55:1 "Come to water, all you who are thirsty, and you will find it. Let those who have no silver come, and let them eat. Ask for grain, and you shall eat. Come, and ask for grain without silver, and get wine and milk without price."

God knows all our needs. But God does not give us what we need for good, when we are unaware of it. We realize what our needs are by realizing that we are thirsty or by admitting that we have nothing.

In contrast, God says that if we ask, or if we go to Him, He will give us everything we need.

We do not have to pay God anything commensurate with what we receive from Him. In other words, we don't have to try hard to be good Christians or leave good deeds behind; God will provide.

We just have to accept ourselves as we are. We can go before God as we are. We don't have to dress well before God, we don't have to prepare excuses, we don't have to carry guilt, we can go before God in our weakness.

God is our Father and we are His children.

We can be indulgent to our Heavenly Father to the fullest.

We can only change by being pampered in God's love and having our hearts filled with His love.

We don't have to try to change ourselves.

For it is only He who made us that can remake us.

So let us admit our pitiful appearance and go to God in that appearance. God is the One who runs to us and puts on us the robe of righteousness!
