Mark 6:31"Jesus said, "Come, go by yourselves to a secluded place and rest for a while. He said this because there were so many people coming and going that there was no time to eat."
We live in a world where working for God without rest is sometimes perceived as a good thing, but God knows our limitations. Also, no matter how much we work for God, we human beings have physical bodies that are exhausted.
God gives us rest. It is okay for us to stop.
We can stop and let God heal our bodies and minds, recharge us with His wisdom and power in His love, and prepare us to respond to His call with love, joy, and hope.
God is always watching over us. Therefore, we do not need to be patient or work hard on our own. God provides everything we need in the spirit. Because we are God's children!

This Gospel Reflections page is written by Masae San, a devoted student of the Bible who passionately embraces the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
