Deuteronomy 34:4 "The Lord said to Moses, "This is the land that I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to give to your descendants. I have made you see it with your own eyes. You shall not, however, cross over to it."

Moses, who had walked with the Israelites in the wilderness for 40 years, was led by God to the top of Mount Pisgah, from where he was shown the land of Canaan. Because he had expressed his unbelief earlier, Moses died just before the Promised Land.

We humans may feel sympathy for Moses, wishing we gave him more credit for his accomplishments, or we may feel that God is a very bad God. Either way, this is our human emotion under the influence of sin.

We don't know God's plan or will, but we think we do, and we judge God and judge others.

God fulfilled His promise to Moses and showed Moses the Promised Land.

Moses was not allowed to enter the Promised Land, but he rose from the dead, inherited eternal life, and later appeared with Elijah at the transfiguration of Jesus, one of the figures of faith.

God is not one to change His plans based on mood.

As you read the Bible, there may be times when you lose faith in God or your faith wavers because you do not understand God's will.

The Bible shows us who God is.

If we do not seek out who God is, we will lose focus.

God is faithful and true to us. Even when we are unfaithful and disloyal to God, God shows us His abiding love.

The more we know such a God through the Holy Spirit, the more we want to believe in Him, even if we do not understand what He does.

The more we focus on who God is rather than what He does, the more we are filled with peace, hope, and joy. God never lets us down!
