Matthew 5:14,15 "Ye are the light of the world; ye are the light of the world. A city that is on a mountain cannot be hid. And there is no one who puts a torch under a square. And he shall light up everything that is in the house."

We are told that we are the light of the world, but we cannot shine by ourselves.

We are like reflections of Jesus' light.

In our relationship with Jesus, we are immersed in God's love, and God pours out the light of peace, joy, and hope. And with the Holy Spirit with us, we can reflect God's light.

It may be a feeble light. It may be a light that is quickly blown out.

But we can run to God again and again to receive His light. In this way, we reflect God's light.

It is not our efforts, but our trust in God that brings the light.

That light may be almost invisible in this day and age.

This is because the world has not yet become dark.

But there will come a time when it will be dark. At that time, we will shine the light of Jesus.

No matter how faint the light, it will surely shine when darkness surrounds us.

Jesus gives us light. We don't have to work hard to shine it ourselves. We can let the light of love shine by accepting Jesus' love, rejoicing in it, and enjoying it. And when the light of each of us becomes one, the whole world will know God's love!
