John 19:15 "When Pilate said, "Shall I crucify your king?" the chief priests replied, "We have no king but the emperor."
God knew that Jesus would be rejected by the apostate priests. God also knew that the Jews would crucify Jesus. On that basis, Jesus hung on the cross. Jesus came to the world and experienced the reality of how much sin affects and destroys human beings.
As a human being, Jesus chose to fulfill God's plan to fulfill God's declaration of war against sin, even as he experienced the struggle of disconnection from God.
God's plan cannot be changed by our thoughts or actions. No matter how much we rebel and resist God, He loves us the same. And Jesus forgives us, heals us, and has mercy on us.
After God's plan is fulfilled, Jesus shows us what He has done and promises that if we believe and accept it, we can live with Him.
That, too, Jesus did not say if we believe 100 percent, but only if we have as much faith as a mustard seed. By our choice, if we believe in Jesus as our Savior and our King, He is the one who will be our King.
The more we know Jesus, the more we realize that our King is none other than Jesus!
