Gospel Reflections #203: All because of Jesus: Jesus' Righteousness Covers Us

Psalm 51:12 "Create in me a clean heart, O God, Give me a new and sure spirit."

Through the cross of Jesus, we have been set free from sin and given the ability to use our free will. This was possible because Jesus' righteousness covered us, not because we became clean.

In being covered by Jesus, we come to see who we really are through seeing, hearing, and touching Him. Jesus makes us realize that we cannot purify our hearts by ourselves.

Only then will we come to rely on God's power.

We need to replace our old self with a new self, but we cannot do it by ourselves.But God will give it to us if we ask.

It is also God who gives our hearts a longing to be like Jesus in our love.

When our hearts are thirsty, let us boldly ask God without hesitation. God is waiting for it. God is waiting for our bold requests.

There is no need to be reserved with God. Let us boldly ask God every day and experience a new beginning with God!
