Joshua 3:5 "Joshua said to the people, "Sanctify yourselves.Sanctify yourselves. The Lord will do marvelous things in your midst tomorrow."

The Israelites had to cross the Jordan River to enter the Promised Land. At that time, the Jordan River was so full that it almost overflowed its banks. There were no bridges or boats.

At that time, Joshua told the people to "sanctify themselves."

Sanctification is to be what we see before us, not to be influenced by our emotions and thoughts, but to have us as God's own so that we can focus on God's promises no matter what is in front of us, trusting completely without doubt and surrendering everything to God.

But this is not something that can be done overnight or by our own efforts.

Every day we discover who God is, that He is worthy of all our trust, and we are transformed by Him as we spend time and commune with Him constantly. And even in the ultimate moments, we are allowed to experience trusting and choosing God.

God knows our weaknesses and our ugliness. He knows that we cannot and do not want to choose Him.

He accepts us, heals us, guides us, and loves us.

Every day we receive God's love, every day is a new step with God.

Today, let us not look at ourselves, but focus on God's extraordinary love and receive it.
