Gospel Reflections #200: What is Eternal Life?

John 17:3 "Eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."

Eternal life is to know who God and Jesus are, what they have done for us, and what they are going to do for us.

God shows us who He is through nature and through the Bible.

And God wants us to choose Him when we know Him well.

He does not want us to choose Him without knowing Him.

And we who have chosen God will rejoice in living with Him.

That is what eternity means.

God will not give up living with us no matter how unbelieving or rebellious we are. He is a God who is always eager to live with us, no matter what the cost.

The more we get to know God, the more we will want to live by his side.

Discover God every day. The surprise and joy of encountering a God you do not yet know will be beyond anything you can experience in this world.

God has surprises for us every day to delight us. Every day is a new beginning.
