2 Chronicles  1:7-10 "God appeared to Solomon and said to him, "Ask whatever you wish, and I will give it to you.Ask whatever you wish, and I will give it to you."Solomon replied to God..."Give me wisdom and insight.... and give me wisdom and insight."

What is the motivation for our own lives?

Sometimes our unacknowledged motivation is that God's power will make us great Christians, that God's power will cause us to live great lives, that God's power will cause us to be admired by those around us.

Solomon sought God's perspective, God's way of thinking.

No matter how many things we are able to think and do for God's work, if we don't get out of our human way of seeing and thinking, we are headed far away from God's will.

We need to look into what our true motives are. Knowing who we really are and who God really is is necessary for our future.

God is love, and we are merely the conduits through which that love flows. But the conduit through which love flows is always flowing with God's love, and we are sure to be influenced by it and made to resemble God's love without even knowing it.

What do you ask of God?
