Matthew 2:22 "And he received a sign in a dream, and retired to the region of Galilee."
God's gracious guidance to Joseph in order to preserve the life of the infant Savior is not unique to this time period. Joseph was guided by a dream to return to Israel because King Herod was dead.
King Herod was dead, but Joseph heard that his son had succeeded Herod and was ruling brutally, and he was afraid. But Joseph believed in God who was guiding him by dream and chose "God" over "fear."
God is not a God who only gives us signs of guidance and tells us to do the rest on our own. God is responsible for what He leads us to do until the end.
Right now, Jesus is interceding for us in heaven.God is leading us even now. When we are about to be crushed by the fear of reality, the fear may not go away, but we can choose God. And when we choose God, He will take care of the rest.
When your feet get caught in the sand, remember that you are never alone. God our Savior is always there for us, taking care of us.
God has been with us every day in 2023.
On the last Sabbath of this year, we should reflect on this and end the year with joy and praise.
