John 12:46 “I have come into the world as light, so that no one who believes in Me may remain in darkness."

This world is not a world of stability, peace, or reward for our efforts.

Even if there is no hardship or tragedy in our lives, this world is a world of darkness affected by sin.

We may enjoy this world without even realizing it.

But God does not leave this world in darkness.

Even when we do not seek the light, even when we have lost the desire to seek the light, God shows us the light.

We may even try to run from it at first because we are not used to it, but the more we learn about it, the more we see that we need it, and the more we seek it out.

That light envelops us, forgives us, has mercy on us, heals us, accepts us, and lets us rest. Then we are filled with that light, warmed by it, and able to see it.

It is not because we are working hard in this world, not because we are doing only good things. God gave us the light to save us, because we are weak, stupid, lazy, without wisdom, and do not know where we are going. There is no substitute for this light in this world.

Believing in that light, that is all it takes for us to be kept alive in that light. God works in every way to help us believe in it.

That light is pouring out on you. There is no one to whom that light has not been poured out.

So, bathe in God's light that is being poured out on you today and let it fully warm you up.

I am sure that you will understand God's love as the light of the world.
