Genesis 12:1 “The Lord said to Abram, "Leave your native place, your father's house, and go to the land that I will show you. Leave your native place, your father's house, and go to the land that I will show you."
Abram believed in God. God waited until Abram's faith had matured to a certain degree before He told him to go to the land that He would show him.
God deals with us in the same way as He dealt with Abram.
When our faith is matured to a certain degree, we are led to leave the place of comfort where we have been staying.
It is God's plan for us to grow closer to Him through our faith.
Abram knew exactly what God was like. But he did not know God's ways and plans. Even if he didn't, he knew what God was like, so he chose God's call over his fears and concerns.
The more we know who God is to us, the more we can surrender to Him with hope for His plan in the events that lie ahead of us.
If anxiety and worry are greater in your heart than God's hope and joy, tell it to God as it is, take it to Him, and leave it with Him. God is the One who can change your anxiety and worry into joy and hope!
