Psalm 104:24 "O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures."
Psalm 104 is known as a 'nature psalm' praising the grandeur of creation and God's wisdom.
Its structure resembles a poetic depiction of the creation process in Genesis chapter 1, focusing on God's 'providential care' that sustains and nourishes all things.
God is portrayed not merely as the Creator of the world, but as its 'Sustainer', who even at this very moment breathes life into it, continually renewing existence.
Though God created humankind, He had already prepared everything necessary for us beforehand.
How we use these things rests upon our free will, yet God also provides the best guidance for our exercise of that free will.
We may feel we are choosing for ourselves, yet behind the scenes, God guides our choices.
This is not coercive; it allows us to choose freely.
Unwittingly yet surely, we are responding to God's loving work.
God is both Creator and Recreator.
In response to God's unfathomable work, we should rejoice greatly and respond ever more boldly.
