1 Samuel 6:19 "The Lord struck down the people of Beth Shemesh because they looked into the ark of the Lord."

This describes the incident where the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh were struck down by God for irreverently peering into the ark of the covenant.

It suggests reverence for God's holiness and solemnity, the danger of approaching God's presence out of curiosity or self-centered interest, and the importance of true repentance.

Many people persistently seek to unravel these divine mysteries for themselves, judging it better not to reveal infinite wisdom.

Moreover, we base theories on conjecture when we lack reliable evidence for judgment.

In this world, science and philosophy are often regarded as superior, eroding faith in God's direct intervention in providence.

We tend to want to judge things based on what we see, hear, and touch ourselves, succumbing to Satan's sophistry and hesitating to accept God's works that defy explanation.

But God does not give up.

Even when it seems like harsh treatment, this is God's grace, showing us what we must value and warning us not to sin any further.

Looking at the afflicted, God may seem cruel, yet this very event may have turned some toward Him.

God works through every circumstance and method, desiring to save all people.
Faithfulness and sincerity over curiosity!

Trust over explanation!

Dependence on God over self-reliance!

Our God delights to give to those who ask.
