Luke 9:56 "For the Son of Man did not come to destroy people's lives, but to save them."
The Bible uses expressions like "God's wrath" or "God destroyed," but these are entirely different from what we humans might imagine.
No matter how disobedient we are, no matter how sinful we become, God does not react emotionally to it. He simply does not overlook sin.
If sin is overlooked, we become consumed by it and can only proceed down the path to destruction.
Yet God loves us sinners and never gives up on saving us.
He can separate us sinners from our sin.
Only God can do this.
Therefore, we can trust God's promise and entrust ourselves to Him.
What we cannot do, God can do.
