Revelation 22:16,17 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star." The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." Let the one who hears say, "Come." Let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

Jesus shows us what He has done for us and what He is doing for us.

Yet the reality is, we often fail to notice it.

Jesus longs for us to come to Him.

Every warning, rebuke, and plea brought by God's word or His messenger is a knock at the door of our hearts.

It is the voice of Jesus asking to be let in.

As we pay less attention to that knocking, our resolve to open the door gradually weakens.

Jesus remains standing outside the door even as we pile up obstacles to His entering our hearts.

And Jesus makes us aware of our spiritual thirst.

At that moment, we remember who Jesus is and begin to respond.

Thus, we choose whether to go seeking the water of life ourselves or to cry out to Jesus to come to us.

Even when we fail or make mistakes, Jesus is the God who never gives up, waiting before the door of our hearts.

Jesus is the God who earnestly desires to bring us back and who will surely accomplish it.
