John 6:63 "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you, they are full of the Spirit and life."
What makes us feel alive, motivates us, or gives us a sense of purpose comes from our heart, our unseen part.
And it doesn't come from within us; it comes from outside us.
Jesus' words also come from outside us. When we hear them and accept them, they remain within us.
And they grow within us.
The words of Jesus are the seed of life for our spirit.
Seeds grow.
When we accept and savor the words of Jesus, which are the seed of life, God works and guides us, nurturing us within His grace.
God nurtures everything.
