Ephesians 2:20,21 "You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord."

The church is a gathering of people who believe in God; it does not refer to the building itself.

Our faith also receives the baton passed down from saints of past generations.

That foundation was laid by figures like those in the Bible, but their foundation was Jesus Himself.

The biblical figures did not merely study Scripture and worship; they treated fellow believers as family, eating together, weeping together, rejoicing together, and praying together.

The temple of God within our hearts is not sufficient through vertical relationship with God alone. It grows by combining vertical and horizontal relationships—building communities of believers—thus forming a holy temple.

First, by maintaining daily relationship with God, He guides our relationships as members of His family.

Even what may seem like failure or error to us, if we have laid a solid foundation, God will turn it to our benefit.

Our spiritual growth is impossible alone, and even with just God and us, spiritual growth remains incomplete. It is part of us to be in a community.

It is through human relationships—our spiritual training ground—that God shapes us into His likeness.
