John 1:10 "The Word was in the world. The world was made through the Word, yet the world did not recognize the Word."

Jesus not only created this world, but He also lived in it with us.

Because this world is distorted by sin's influence, our top priority is to have our strength, wisdom, and achievements recognized and to boast about them.

We refuse to acknowledge our own weaknesses, mistakes, and errors. We feel that doing so would make it impossible to survive in this world.

But Jesus' way is to bring our weaknesses and foolishness into the light, to make us acknowledge them, and to show us that it is not ourselves but Jesus we should rely on.

We hate this intensely, yet Jesus never gives up on us. He keeps working on us.

And through the power of the Holy Spirit, we come to understand Jesus' work and His deeds.

None of us humans recognized Jesus.

But when we fix our eyes on Jesus, things we couldn't see before become visible. Our hearts are moved by how much He has done for us, and joy overflows.
