Psalm 103:13 "As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him."
God created us, so He remembers that we are dust.
God cherishes, has mercy on, loves, forgives, and treats us with care—us who are weak and dust-like.
Yet sometimes we see Him as a vengeful God appeased only by sacrifice.
God is the God who freely gives us the gift of love.
Jesus came to this world to reveal God to us, so we might understand how tenderly God pours out love upon people.
Only by turning our eyes away from our own thoughts and toward God alone, our hearts are opened by the Holy Spirit, and we truly see God.
Even when the actions of those who long for and seek God fall far short of resembling Jesus, God still has compassion on us.
God never gives up on us.
