Colossians 1:17 "For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him."
To surely accomplish His plan for humanity's salvation from sin, God sent His Son Jesus, who was with Him in heaven, into this world as a human being.
Through this Son Jesus, we are redeemed and receive forgiveness of sins.
The Son Jesus existed before the creation of heaven and earth, and He created and sustains all of creation.
This Jesus, the ruler and sovereign of the universe, came to this world, laying aside all authority, to endure the most cruel punishment of His time—crucifixion.
He did not come as a hero recognized by all, nor was He known by everyone. On the contrary, He was rejected and persecuted. Yet, to fulfill God's plan of salvation for humanity, He gave Himself up, loved us to the end, and remained faithful to God.
That is why we have been reconciled to God and enabled to stand before Him as holy, blameless, and beyond reproach.
When we truly grasp this, we come to know the depth of our own sin, realize we are powerless to deal with it ourselves, and truly understand the immeasurable nature of God's love and grace.
Then, we are allowed to fully experience healing and peace within God's love.
God's love is poured out upon us unconditionally, yet receiving it requires a condition.
That condition is believing in and accepting Jesus as our Savior. It begins with a choice made in our hearts, and God responds to that choice.
Jesus is utterly faithful and trustworthy.
This is what connects us to our hope.
