John 8:46 "Which one of you can accuse me of sin? If I tell the truth, why don't you believe me?"
During His public ministry, Jesus healed the sick, performed miracles, and responded to the hearts of those who clung to Him.
Yet to those who resented Him, He boldly spoke the truth and strongly challenged them, asking why they did not believe.
We are weak, so before we hear and believe, God Himself works in our hearts.
Before we believe, God works in our hearts, guiding us so we can believe.
Though we cannot hear Jesus' voice directly, we may experience a sense of conversing with God or feel the reassurance of His presence beside us.
This is God guiding us in every possible way so we can express our willingness to respond to His call with simplicity and joy.
When we perceive God's unseen workings, we come to depend on Him unconditionally.
Even as the Jews plotted to kill Jesus, He continued to proclaim, "I am the truth," working upon their hearts.
How do we engage daily with Jesus, who is working within our hearts?
God's blessing upon us rests upon our choice toward Him.
