John 11:48 "If he stays here much longer, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and destroy both our temple and our nation."

This was said by the chief priests and Pharisees when they convened the council, in response to the situation where many Jews had come to believe in Jesus after seeing him raise Lazarus from the dead.

When we humans witness Jesus' miracles, it seems we divide into two groups: those who believe simply, and those who consider how it affects them.

Ultimately, it is about whether we look to God or to ourselves.

But opening the door to God comes through believing.

Not by focusing on the miracles God performs, but by looking to the God who performs the miracles through them.

Our choice is limited to two sides: God's side or any side other than God's.

Even if we choose a side other than God's, God continues to guide us without giving up until we find God and choose God.

When we come to know such work of God, we desire to prioritize God over ourselves, and this leads to joy, gratitude, and hope.
