Psalm 73:24 "You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory."

Even when we are foolish and ignorant, behaving like beasts toward God, He is the God who is always with us, protecting and guiding us.

When we experience this, we will offer praise just as this verse does.

And we will be convinced that there is no one else to cherish besides God, in heaven or on earth.

Then, as the verse continues, we will want to praise loudly and joyfully: "My body and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

God's plans may be beyond our understanding, and they may not always lead to a happy ending. Yet God prepares perfect grace for our true needs, without fail.

When we fix our eyes not on the great works themselves, but on the God who performs them, our eyes are opened to God.

This is surely a greater miracle than the miracle of God parting the sea.
