1 Samuel 2:2 "The Holy One is the Lord alone. There is none like you. Our God is our rock, and there is none besides him."

The Lord often deliberately places us in difficult situations to prompt us to strive harder.

Within His providence, special trials may arise to test our endurance and faith. This teaches us to trust God and shows us where to seek help and strength in adversity.

Thus, we gain practical knowledge of God's will—knowledge vital to our life experiences.

Faith grows strong only through earnest struggle against doubt and fear.

In our relationship with God, it is only when we truly know that the Lord is holy and the one true God that we can accept His guidance to trust Him completely and surrender everything to Him.

If we do not resist, we are surely being led to God, our Rock of Refuge and Fortress of Salvation.

The question is whether we truly seek God Himself, or whether we seek ourselves transformed by God's power.

For those who seek God Himself, God becomes the Rock of eternal salvation.

Even those who do not are surely being led to focus on God Himself in every trial.
