Psalm 18:2 "The Lord is my rock, my castle, my deliverer, my God, my leaning rock, my shield, the horn of my salvation, my high yoke."

How do we describe God in order to communicate our personal God?

David describes it this way, describing a God who will surely help him, a God who will absolutely protect him.

We thank God for doing what we wish, but in this sequence we will only reach our own thoughts and not God.

It is only when we are not getting what we want, when we are spinning out of control, or when we are sinking into the mire because we don't know what to do, that we truly seek God.

And God responds to that seeking with faithfulness, sincerity and love, so that in the course of our experiences we come to express ourselves in the way David did.

God has given us Jesus, and Jesus is the God who serves us, as if he is supporting us from the bottom of our hearts.

So we who have experienced that are led to serve those around us in the same way.

First, taste as much as you can of who God is to you.

Then God will lead us to want to express it.
