Ephesians 5:18 "Do not get drunk with wine. It is a source of leanness. Rather, be filled with the Spirit."

We human beings are weak, and when we are going through something painful or sad, we cannot bear to hold it in our hearts, so we try to drown our pain and sorrow in something else, or forget about it, and we sometimes get drunk with alcohol.

This may make us feel better temporarily, but it does not solve anything.

Those of us who know God take our pain and sorrow to Him, ask Him to hear everything, and let His love heal us and give us rest.

Whatever we do, it is idolatry to look to anyone other than God for a solution.

Only God can heal and restore our hearts.

To be "filled with the Spirit" means that we choose God, depend on Him, and run to Him to be surrounded by His love and His power.

Our God is always watching over us and knows our needs.

The more we rely on Him, the more He shows us how much He loves us!
