Gospel Reflections #785: It is always free of charge because God paid it all

Revelation 3:18 "Then I urge you. --- buy from me gold refined by fire."

Jesus knows our true spiritual condition and has indicated our needs precisely.

We need faith and love, which are gold refined by fire.

But more importantly, we need to buy them from Jesus.

Jesus gives them to us free of charge.

But it is not given automatically; we need to feel the need, go to Jesus, and ask for them, believing that he will give them to us.

Our relationship with Jesus is established when we run to Him, clinging to Him and asking for it.

This relationship with Jesus, this bond with Him, is our miracle, our heaven, and our eternity.

God has shown us that in the end times we need faith, love, the righteousness of Christ, and true spiritual discernment, which do not come through our efforts, merit, good deeds, or service, but through Christ Himself and our relationship with Him.

Let us enjoy fellowship with Christ today, so much so that we become one with Him.
