Gospel Reflections #781: Where are we now?

Psalm 25:4 “Show me your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths."
We often pray to God asking for the outcome.
Yet God changes our thoughts as we walk with Him, teaching us to change our ways.
When things go wrong, we blame ourselves, sinking into self-pity, or even blame God to feel better.
God is ever present beside us, knowing all our needs.
God guides us not to pray for Him to fulfil our desires or expectations, but to seek and pray for Him to show us where we are now, what we are doing, and how to proceed from there towards Him.
Difficult events may, in a sense, be opportunities for us to draw nearer to God.
As long as we do not reject God, He will never leave us but guide us to the very end.
We can cling to God for guidance in matters we cannot manage on our own. When we are unsure how to think or what to do, by seeking Him as we truly are, He abundantly grants us comfort and wisdom.
