Proverbs 19:23  "Fear the Lord and you will have life. And you will be full of life, and you will sleep."

Fear of the Lord means to ask Him completely by knowing who He is, what He has done, and what He will do.

The more we know Him as such, the more we can rest in peace, joy, and gratitude.

Faith in God's love and providential control lightens our burdens of worry and hardship.

It does not mean that we will have no hardships, but that we can fill our hearts with joy and contentment, no matter how elevated we are or how low our circumstances may be.

We have many plans in our hearts, but only the will of the Lord will stand firm.

No matter how good our plans are, we are imperfect, inadequate, and easily influenced by circumstances and our environment.

We must surrender ourselves and surrender everything to the Lord, rather than relying on our own thoughts and experiences, so that His plans can be carried out.

All we can do is look up to Him with joy and gladly follow Him wherever He goes.

He alone knows what is best for us.
