1 Corinthians 1:23 "We are crucified and preach Christ."
Our Savior was not a heroic figure in movies and dramas with a visible righteousness and success in the eyes of men, but a seeming defeat in our eyes, dying on the cross because of the way He paid for our sins according to earthly rules.
However, the cross was permitted by God to bear the sins of all human beings on earth, and He offered His only begotten Son to fulfill it.
Through the cross of Christ, we have had the light brought forth in the darkness and the chains held by Satan broken.
Not only do we proclaim it, but we proclaim through our lives that through the resurrection of Christ as the Son of God, we too can live new lives.
It is not by our power, but by the power of Christ that we walk.
The cross, by Christ's death, determined Satan's destiny of death.
The cross shows that Christ's "heel" was the only part crushed, while Satan's "head" was crushed.
What we proclaim is the hope and confidence we have in Christ.
