Gospel Reflections #765: God is making sure we get a full experience of Him

Matthew 3:1,2  “In those days John the Baptist appeared and preached in the wilderness of Judea, saying, "Repent! The kingdom of heaven has come near."

God's plan for the salvation of mankind has prepared the perfect timing, place and people.

It began with the bold preaching of John the Baptist before Jesus began His public life ministry, and continued with His baptism.

I believe that there are events in our lives and livelihoods that prepare us for the timing of God's work.

Through events that make us aware of our change of direction, we are led to look to God and feel the need to surrender to Him as we search our hearts.

God then delivers the Holy Spirit to us when we agree and accept it.

God shows Himself to us, prepares the way for us to receive it, and is willing to respond to our response.

God gives us people in different roles around us, and when they are united by the work of the Holy Spirit, we can see God's work.

God is making sure and exquisite preparations for us.

And we get to experience it every day.
