Psalm 25:11 "For Your name's sake, O Lord, forgive me my sins. For my sins are great."

Jesus sacrificed His life in place of our sins.

So, believing this, we cling to the name of Jesus.

But to do so, we must know who Jesus is and what He has done for us before we can truly cling to Him.

Confessing our sins to Jesus is not like asking for forgiveness for fear of the consequences of our sins, but rather it is like looking up to the perfect Jesus, grieving over our imperfect and foolish selves, realizing that only He can help us, going to Him, confessing, and it is like surrendering our grief to Jesus and allowing Him to restore us in His love.

To do this, we would have to know who we are, face our sins, acknowledge them, and know that we cannot do anything about them.

God is not concerned with how many times we sin, but wants us to recognize and turn around our sins, and it is our God who is working tirelessly to do so.
