Matthew 6:19  "You shall not lay up riches on the earth, but you shall have them in the land of the living, and in the land of the dead. For there the worm eats and rusts, and the thief creeps in and steals."

We are affected by what we see.

We have a desire to store up within us, even if we do not think of putting our energies into building up our possessions, our position, or our honor.

It is about storing up things that are not visible, such as good Christianity, growth in holiness, and achievements in service and helping others.

God has given each of us everything we need.

We do not need to cling to more than God gives us.

God does not meet our needs to make us rich, but to meet someone else's needs through us.

We must not stop God's blessings from coming to us.

We are given our needs by God to make His love flow.

But we want rewards.

When we do something for someone or serve someone, we immediately want a reward.

God understands this, so He calls out to us.

We believe that God pats us on the head and says, "Well done," even though we are able to do many things because of what God has given us.

Our wealth on earth as Christians is that Jesus is with us!
