Gospel Reflections #722: Only God can create a new life in us

Heb 9:11 "But Christ came as the High Priest of grace, which has already come to pass, and was not made with human hands, that is, not of this world."

Christ came into the world to fulfill God the Father's plan of salvation for mankind, defending us with His life against the world's way of condemning us for our sins.

And in His resurrection, He presented us with a new covenant.

It is through our acceptance and belief in Christ as our personal Savior that we are given new life as children of God and raised up by God.

It is impossible for man to create new life; only God can do this.

Christ understands our weaknesses and inadequacies and gives each of us the wisdom and strength we need.

The more we experience this, the more we know who God is to us, and the more we are filled with gratitude and joy.

We do not need the power within us, but God's love that works in us from without.
