2 Corinthians 5:10 "For we all stand before the judgment seat of Christ, and must receive our reward according to what we have done, whether good or evil, while we were inhabiting our respective bodies."
God has planned a definite end to His plan for the salvation of mankind, and He is working tirelessly to bring about that end.
We are told in this verse that we will be rewarded according to what we have done in the world.
What do we mean by "the deeds of this world"?
It is preceded by the words, "only be pleasing to the Lord.
The person who is pleasing to the Lord is not one who keeps the law, does good deeds, and becomes a good Christian, but one who is aware of his or her weaknesses, is convinced that God is the only one who can transform them, and continues to seek God's side no matter what happens or what the circumstances are.
God accepts those who rely on Him.
We look not to our own deeds, but to Him who saved us, who raised us as children of God, who will defend us in the end, and whose only hope is to let us be people who rejoice in our relationship with Him, surrounded by His love. We look forward to the Second Coming with the only hope that we can be people who rejoice in our relationship with God, surrounded by His love.
For us, judgment is not a time of fear, but a time of joy.
