Isaiah 33:22 "Truly, the Lord judges us righteously. He is the one who gives us laws. He will be our King, and He will save us."
God gives us His law, by which we are judged, not by our outward actions, but by the motives that produce those actions.
And this judgment is not a judgment of guilt, but a testimony that we are innocent because Jesus bore all our guilt on our behalf.
God's will is not for us to keep God's law, but for us to realize that we cannot keep God's law in our own strength, and to restore our relationship with God and nurture new life by believing, relying, and surrendering to Jesus.
Often we are discouraged by our inability to keep God's law and try to climb out of it in our own strength, but no matter who we are, God will save us and lead us to be one if we do not turn away from Him.
And there we will see peace, joy, and hope, and we will be able to take a step forward with God.
