Gospel Reflections #684: God Continues to Lead

1 John 5:20 "We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life."

We cannot see God or hear His voice, but we have been given the power to know Him.

God does not teach us everything at once, but gives us the wisdom and power we need now.

We are not to ask for what we don't have, but to receive what is given to us and be guided to make the most of it.

That is God's domain, the domain of the influence of His wisdom and power.

Instead of someone else knowing God on our behalf, each of us needs to know God personally.

That is where the path to the real God opens and our relationship with Him begins.

God is leading us to get there.

For us, receiving and using what God has given us in our daily lives is 'faith in action'!

God never gives up.

Let us respond to God without giving up.
