Jeremiah 17:10 "It is I, the Lord, who searches the heart and studies its guts. I will reward each according to his ways and according to the fruit of his works."
God also sees our unconscious motives in the depths of our hearts.
God sees our innermost motives rather than our outwardly visible actions and deeds.
He sees whether we really want to believe and follow God or whether we want to give love to our neighbour because God loves us.
Sometimes we like to think that we are believing and following God, but we are disguising our true hearts.
It is God who makes us realise this, and it is God who leads us to act on our thoughts.
We can turn our thoughts to God and have them purified in our relationship with Him.
He then makes them visible in our actions, words and deeds as a result of His leading.
So it is okay if we have not yet taken action.
We don't need to lament about it, but rather take our thoughts to God and ask Him to cleanse them.
Our God is more willing to receive our thoughts as they are than false actions.
If there is no deceit in our hearts towards God, let us come to Him just as we are.
God is all-embracing!
